If I remember correctly, the very first thing I’ve made by myself was a cake! A plain and simple Teacake in my grandmother’s cooking range.
As I’ve already mentioned in the blog many times, I simply love baking! However I’ve come across so many people who are just scared to give it a try. If you ask me, all you need to do is select a tried and tested recipe and follow the instructions correctly and it should work well.
There is something I say to all baking newbies, it’s very important that you get familiar with your oven. Each oven varies, so the timing and temp also varies accordingly. As a first step to get familiarised with your oven, you can start with a ready made cake, say like Betty crocker. It’s super simple simple to bake those cakes and they hardly go wrong. This will help you get a confidence and also a chance to know about your oven.
If you havent still tried a baking recipe, I do hope you give it a try soon. I’m sure you’ll get addicted to it, once you get the hang of it. Most of the baking recipes on MM are very simple and easy to bake. So, get ready to bake then, eh?
