Mushroom Cheese Puffs Bakery Style
Ingredients
- 250 gms Mushrooms (sliced, I used white button mushrooms)
- 1 big Onion (chopped)
- 1 small Capsicum (chopped)
- 1.5 Tbsp Crushed garlic
- 1-1.5 tsp Pizza seasoning/Oregano seasoning
- 1-2 tsp Chilli flakes
- 2 Cheese slices (I used Amul cheese slices)
- 1 Tbsp Milk
- 1.5-2 Tbsp Oil (I used olive oil)
- 10 Puff pastry squares
- 1 Beaten egg
- Salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170 C (refer notes) for 10 mins, before baking.
- Heat oil in a wide pan. Add chopped onion and cook till it begins to brown. Add crushed garlic and cook for 3-4 mins or till the raw smell goes. Add cheese slices and let it melt. Mix well and add milk to bring everything together.
- Add chopped capsicum, sliced mushrooms and salt (refer notes). Cook till it's done.
- Add Pizza seasoning and chilli fakes. Mix well.

- Thaw the puff pastry squares. Keep the filling (1 -2 tsp approx) on one side of the puff pastry and fold the other side to cover it. Press the edges with a fork and score on the top, using a serrated knife.
- Line a baking a sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the filled puff pastry on it. Brush the beaten egg on the puff pastry. Bake the puffs in preheated oven for 25-30 mins, until it's golden brown.
