Since the photo given shows yellow color, you may need to explicitly mention to add turmeric powder while making the tapioca or in some other step of making. We enjoy reading your blog and we have tried out a couple of dishes from this blog.

Heat a lil oil and cook the onions till they turn golden brown. Make sure you stir in between.
Hi there, Thanks for the recipe. It looks great. Would like to try it out. Can you tell me what the best cut of beef would be to use for this and the other beef recipes you have? I am in the US and I can find different chunks of beef meat in the grocery stores here (Chuck, Round, Rump etc.). Can anyone tell me what the best cut is for these type of Kerala beef preparations please?

I checked with my cousin who is in US, she said she uses stew meat for all Kerala recipes. Hope this helps..
i was searching for a biryani recipe and as usual landed in ur blog. first time i heard about kappa biryani and was searching for Basmati rice amount in it :) and finally thought u must have forgot to mention :D

The tapioca should be well covered in water ie the water level should be 1/2 – 1 inch above the tapioca and for beef marination, half an hour is perfectly fine.
Also please do mention how long do i have to marinate the beef.Will half an hour be ok?
Could you please xplain how much water is needed to cook the tapioca and that if u r draining the excesswater of just boiling it off with tapioca?
