Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Couscous
- 1/3 cup Boiling water
- 2-3 tbsp Chopped onion
- 1/4 cup Chopped tomato
- 2 tbsp Chopped parsley
- 1-2 tbsp Lemon juice
- Salt
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Take a small deep bowl and add couscous and salt. Mix well. Add boiling water and 1 tsp of olive oil to couscous. Cover the bowl for 10 mins. After 10 mins, open the bowl and fluff the couscous with a fork. Keep it aside for 5-10 mins, to let it cool a bit.
- Add other ingredients to couscous and mix well. Drizzle some more olive oil, if required. You can have it as it is or with grilled fish or chicken.
Notes
You can add any veggies or fruits of your choice to the salad. You can use carrots,capsicum, pomegranate seeds etc; You can also use green gram sprouts (mulappicha payar), cooked chana, grated coconut, cooked chicken, meat or fish etc;

Can Dalia be used instead of Couscous? Can broken rice also be used? Will the recipe differ with these ingredients if they are used?

I’m not familiar with Dalia, so I dont know about that. But I guess you can follow the same recipe for broken rice.
