How can a Kerala Christian not know these recipes...
I’ve to admit that I’ve a soft corner towards the recipes under this category. The recipes here reminds me of the taste of my childhood. Every Easter and Christmas memories of my childhood is connected with these recipes.
The memory of one Easter from that time still stands apart. We were on the move that Easter..had breakfast from our place, went to Changanacherry (my Appa’s place) for lunch, visited my Appa’s sister’s place after lunch and had a heavy tea or a mini version of lunch from there, came back to Cochin and went to my Uncle’s place and had dinner. At the end of it, what i clearly remember is me lying down on my Uncle’s sofa, feeling so full, that I can't even turn to one side!! If I happen to find something really good, which I know, that they were looking forward to have, it gets me all excited! But, there is a teeny tiny problem with this “excitement” part. I won’t be able to contain it […]
