Appetizer Round-Up For Christmas

So, here are some of my fav appetizer recipes for you to try during this holiday season. Iโ€™m not going to bore you with the stories of my love for appetizers :)

Iโ€™ve tried to get a mix of different kinds of appetizersโ€ฆ fried, baked, stovetop, veg, nonveg. Have a look and see what do you wanna try for your party (you are having one right!?).

Ok, here you go, 15 party snack recipes to tryโ€ฆ

Often I hear complaints from vegetarians that they are not represented โ€œadequatelyโ€. So, Iโ€™m starting with the veg optionsโ€ฆ

Potato Pops – This is like all the goodness and comfort rolled into a ball and deep-fried. Thatโ€™s all Iโ€™ve to say about this :)

Mushroom Crostini – Iโ€™ve lost count of the number of times, Iโ€™ve made this. Itโ€™s a super simple, and an easy tasty snack. Iโ€™m yet to come across a person who hasnโ€™t asked for seconds or even thirds of this wonderful snack!

Cucumber Sandwich – This is like the ultimate finger food recipe. This comes handy when you are serving a large group. It has very minimal ingredients and effort. Tastes super good and refreshing!

Spinach and Mushroom Rolls – Are you a fan of white sauce/bechamel? I know, itโ€™s a silly question, because who isnโ€™t? So, just imagine mushrooms and spinach all coated in a creamy bechamel sauce, wrapped in a pancake, rolled in breadcrumbs and deep-fried! Yummmmmyyyโ€ฆ I rest my case.

Mushroom Manchurian – If you are a fan of Indo Chinese food, then youโ€™ll simply love this. You can substitute Mushroom with any other veggie of your choice. Itโ€™s perfect for munching while chatting away.

Falafel – If you want to keep a healthy tone and indulge at the same time, this is for you. Itโ€™s packed with so much flavor, tastes great on its own or add a yogurt-based dip and you have got the perfect combo.

Now, shall we go to the DEEP-FRIED NON-VEG snacks?

Chicken Croquette – This is now a mandatory appetizer whenever I have got a party. Kids and adults love this! Itโ€™s also one of the most tried recipes among my friends. It keeps well in the freezer for a month or so. If you havenโ€™t tried it yet, you should get to it immediately!

Fish Fingers – Now, this is almost like a Fish version of the chicken nuggets. Again, this is one of the easiest and simplest recipes to make with a few ingredients.ย

Meat Rolls – Two of my fav things, bread, and beef. Again, if you are cooking for a huge group, this is one super easy recipe with very minimal effort and guarantees happy faces.

Prawns Toast – Now, if you wanna make something little โ€œfancyโ€ but donโ€™t wanna too much trouble, this recipe is your friend. Again, itโ€™s packed with flavor and paired with some sweet chilli sauce, this is a winning combo.ย

Beef Cutlet – Honestly, for me, Christmas feast is not complete, until and unless I eat beef cutlets to my heartโ€™s content. Itโ€™s very much a part of Christmas celebration back home and it is the comfort, familiarity, memories, and taste all bundled together to make me a happy soul.ย

Chicken Pakoras – If you wanna have something spicy, something thatโ€™s very โ€œIndianโ€, try this Chicken Pakoras. This is Joseโ€™s fav snack. Be warned, you will not be able to stop with just one. Dare to take the risk ;)?

Shall we move on to the NON-FRIED items?

Sloppy Joes – One of my absolute fav beef recipes. Whenever I serve this, I always get asked for the recipe. Again, you can make the filling 2-3 days in advance and refrigerate and itโ€™s very easy to assemble and serve. Perfect party snack.

Pulled Chicken Burger / Slider – Are you a fan of โ€œbbqโ€ flavor? Then, you need to try this. Like sloppy joes, you can make the filling in advance and Iโ€™ve seen both kids and adults enjoy this great snack.

Grilled Chicken Kebabs – If you wanna spice up your party, this is the recipe you are looking for. You can marinate the chicken ahead and it doesnโ€™t take much time to cook. Add some mint yogurt sauce and itโ€™s simply wow!
