Boil the ingredients from cabbage to salt, till it's done. Separate the stock (cooking water) from the vegetable mix. Grind the mix into a smooth paste. Mix the ground paste and stock and tomato sauce and white sauce and heat at low flame for 7 - 10 minutes. Serve hot with bread croutons.
Remove the crust of the bread and cut into cubes. Shallow fry the bread cubes & serve with soup.
To make white sauce, melt 1 tbsp butter in a pan and add 1 tbsp plain flour (maida). When the raw smell of flour goes, add 1/4 - 1/3 cup of milk and keep stirring. once the mixture reaches the consistency of a thick sauce, remove from fire.
