Crispy and Healthy Soya Broccoli Tikki Recipe
Crispy and healthy soya broccoli tikki made with simple ingredients. This easy, protein-rich veg snack is perfect for tea time and loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Soya chunks
- 1 cup Steamed broccoli florets
- 1 big Onion chopped
- 1/2 tbsp Crushed garlic
- 2 tsp Crushed ginger
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2.5 tsp Chilli powder
- 2.5 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Fennel powder
- 1/2-1 tbsp Chicken/meat/veg masala refer notes
- 1/2 cup Grated cheese
- 1-2 tbsp Ghee
Instructions
- Bring the soya chunks to boil in 2.5 cups of water. Simmer for 10 mins or until it’s done. Drain the water. Once it’s cool enough to touch, squeeze the water completely. Grind it into a smooth paste in a mixie.
- Heat ghee in a wide pan and add chopped onion. Cook till it caramelises. Add crushed ginger and garlic. Cook for 3-4 mins. Add all spice powders and cook for another 3-4 mins. Add chopped broccoli and ground soya and mix well.
- Add cheese and mix well. Check seasoning and adjust accordingly.
- Shape the mixture into small patties/tikkis and shallow fry. I got 12 small patties/tikkis from the above qty.
Notes
You can add 1 beaten egg white or roasted besan/maida/bread crumbs (1-2 tbsp) to bring the mixture together, if required.
I used Kitchen King Masala for the above recipe. You can use chicken/meat or any veg masala powder.
You can also air fry them instead of shallow frying.
Uncooked patties/tikkis can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 days.
