Fish Fry

  • 1/2 kg Fish pieces I cut in finger shapes
  • 1/2 - 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 2 Green chili
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 - 1 tbsp Garlic
  • Lemon juice - juice of a half lemon
  • 2 tbsp Plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 - 1 cup Bread crumbs


  • Clean the fish and drain the water. Grind together ginger, green chilli, pepper and garlic, along with lemon juice & salt. Marinate the cleaned fish peices with the ground paste and keep it for 1 hour. Strain together plain flour, salt & pepper powder. Sprinkle the flour mixture over the fish pieces. Dip the fish pieces coated with flour in egg and roll it in bread crumbs. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the fish pieces till it becomes golden brown or till the fish is cooked. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce.
