Hello Maria
I am a very new visitor to your site. In fact I came across it quite by accident this morning while googling a recipe for INDRI APPAM . Your version seems simple enough and I, never having attempted making it before, need one that’s fuss-free. Thanks.
Would you have an easy, fail safe recipe for classic cheese cake, and one that preferably does not need baking ?( Tall order, eh ?!)
Regard
Usha

Hi Usha
Welcome to MariasMenu!
Hope you will make the Indri appam and like it too :)
Yes, I have posted a no bake cheese cake recipe sometime back. You can see it here.
https://mariasmenu.com/desserts/cold-cheese-cake
I’ve made this cheesecake several times and has come out well every time, so its fail proof ;)
Wish you and your family a happy & blessed Easter!
Cheers
Maria
Thanks Sindhu :)
Regarding the cakes not being cooked well, it can happen due to various reasons:
It can happen, if the pan size is not correct. if you are using a smaller pan size, it will take longer time for the cake to bake completely.
The temp of the oven. The temp can vary for different oven. From what you’ve written, I understand that the top of your cake gets cooked fast, so try baking at a low temp for a longer time. Alternatively, try covering the cake loosely with aluminium foil if the top tends to over brown.
Also do not open the oven for the first 25 minutes of baking, otherwise it will affect the rising of the cake.
Also try baking with another brand of flour.
These are some general tips & I hope it helps. Please do try the recipes again and let me know whether it comes out well.
I use the self raising flour produced by Bahrain Mills Company. Are you from Bahrain?
Happy baking :)
